LIFESTYLE WORKSHOP ON HOUSEHOLD WASTE MANAGEMENT

  • i. Increased awareness and understanding of waste management intricacies among workshop participants.
    ii. Practical skills gained in waste segregation, composting, and technology integration for waste reduction.
    iii. Enriched discussions with local insights and expertise from representatives of Municipal Corporation Patiala and Punjab Pollution Control Board.
    iv. Enhanced collaboration and networking opportunities for stakeholders to initiate collaborative
    initiatives.
    v. Lay the groundwork for a greener, cleaner Punjab by empowering educators, students, and stakeholders with actionable strategies for sustainable waste management.
    Overall, the workshop served as a pivotal platform for driving change towards a more sustainable future in Punjab, emphasising collaboration, education, and practical implementation of waste management practices at the grassroots level.

    • Five Villages adopted by TIET (Sidhuwal, Seuna, Kauli, Ablowal, Dhamo Majra)
    • Survey team: 5 students each
    • Activities to be carried out: Women Education, digitization of village, waste management, drug de-addiction, night ambulance, etc.

    • School of Energy & Environment collaborated with Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, GoP for up-gradation of existing  wastewater treatment units
    • Designing of treatment ponds in villages

    • Technical Events organized for UG students of various Eng. Institutes/universities across the northern region
    • More than 100 students participated in Business Model presentations, Quiz, Posters, etc.

    • Organised for Industries and diploma Students
    • Hands-on experience in Water & Wastewater Analysis
  • SCI FEST-2019
    • Encouraged scientific endeavours of young minds
    • More than 300 undergraduate students participated
